15-game slate | Four proposed positions | Proposed exposure: 3.75u | Official positions: NONE | Official exposure: 0.00u | Model changes: NONE
This Grade report applies the binding MLB core market-mix policy. It does not modify `AUTO_PICKS`; Final Positions remains the sole official card.
Ranked proposal board
| Rank | Category | Exact market | Posted odds | Proposed units | Net Edge | Grade |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | TEAM MARKET | Seattle Mariners -1.5 full-game run line | -101 DraftKings | 1.25u | +1.9 | PROPOSED |
| 2 | TEAM MARKET | Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 full-game run line | -125 DraftKings | 1.00u | +1.6 | PROPOSED |
| 3 | TEAM MARKET | Texas Rangers full-game moneyline | -131 DraftKings | 0.75u | +0.8 | PROPOSED |
| 4 | PLAYER PROP | Yoshinobu Yamamoto Over 7.5 Pitcher Strikeouts | -110 Fanatics | 0.75u | +0.9 | PROPOSED |
Net Edge is an internal relative grade, not a claimed win probability. No position is official at this checkpoint.
Market mix
| Measure | Team/game markets | Player props |
|---|---|---|
| Proposed positions | 3 | 1 |
| Position share | 75% | 25% |
| Proposed exposure | 3.00u | 0.75u |
| Exposure share | 80% | 20% |
The prescribed nearest allocation for a four-position MLB card is 3 team markets + 1 prop, so the proposal card complies. The mix is intentionally not expanded to five: the available second prop moved to a materially harder threshold, and no weak fifth position is being forced.
Ledger reconciliation
The latest connected performance records supersede the older partial snapshot:
| Scope | Settled W-L-P | Risked | Net | ROI | Pending |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rolling 7-day recovered subset | 0–0–0 | 0.00u recorded | 0.00u | N/A | Today's card not graded |
| Rolling 30-day recovered subset | 1–2–0 | 4.25u | -1.0417u | -24.51% | Incomplete dates excluded |
| Recovered lifetime subset | 26–21–0 | 67.50u | -0.1077u | -0.16% | Wheeler 1.50u |
The recovered lifetime report identifies one pending 1.50u Wheeler ticket and 44 unresolved dates. These are recovered-subset totals, not a claim that every July–September card has been found. Same-book aggregate closing-line value remains unavailable.
The underlying website performance rows do not support a verified historical team-market versus player-prop split. No category W-L, units or ROI is invented. The new two-thirds team-market policy changes future card construction only; it does not relabel historical bets or alter model weights.
Current slate controls
MLB's official probable-pitcher board confirms the relevant matchups. The Dodgers–Reds and Brewers–Pirates batting orders are confirmed. Philadelphia's order is confirmed, but Washington remains TBD. Seattle–Los Angeles and Boston–Texas remain TBD on both sides.
The White Sox–Guardians game is excluded because MLB lists Chris Murphy while the live odds feed lists Davis Martin. Starter-source conflicts block all derivative grading until resolved.
The largest weather concerns remain Wrigley Field and Coors Field. None of the four proposed positions depends on a weather interruption. Globe Life Field's roof limits weather exposure for Boston–Texas.
TEAM MARKETS
Pick 1 — Seattle Mariners -1.5 full-game run line
Posted odds: -101 DraftKings
Proposed units: 1.25u
Variance: Medium-high
Designation: PROPOSED — NOT OFFICIAL
Positive Edge
Seattle has the cleaner starter matchup: Logan Gilbert enters 12–9 with a 3.72 ERA and 187 strikeouts, while Angels starter Ryan Johnson is 4–8 with a 5.12 ERA and only 63 strikeouts. DraftKings moved Seattle's moneyline from approximately -162 to -174 while still offering the full-game -1.5 at -101. As the road team, Seattle is also guaranteed a ninth-inning plate appearance if the game reaches the bottom of the ninth.
Devil Risk
A run line converts every one-run Seattle victory into a loss. Seattle is only 70–81, so the pitcher advantage does not erase broader offensive inconsistency. Both batting orders are still unconfirmed, and bullpen execution is included in the full-game settlement.
Net Edge
Positive Edge: 9.0/10 | Devil Risk: 7.1/10 | Net Edge: +1.9
Risk manager / what changes the view
1.25u proposed. Final Positions must confirm both lineups, Gilbert, Johnson and -1.5 at no worse than roughly -110. Pass if core Seattle bats rest, the Angels upgrade their starter, or the price moves beyond the approved band. Do not substitute Seattle ML near -174.
Pick 2 — Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 full-game run line
Posted odds: -125 DraftKings
Proposed units: 1.00u
Variance: Medium
Designation: PROPOSED — NOT OFFICIAL
Positive Edge
This is the slate's clearest starter mismatch. Cristopher Sánchez is 17–5 with a 2.79 ERA and 210 strikeouts; Jackson Kent is 1–4 with a 6.59 ERA. Philadelphia's confirmed order includes Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, Luis Arraez and Alec Bohm. The market strengthened Philadelphia from roughly -189 to -217 on the moneyline, while the -1.5 run line remains -125.
Devil Risk
The market has already priced much of the mismatch. Washington's lineup is still TBD, and a full-game run line remains exposed to Philadelphia bullpen variance and a possible one-run win. Laying -125 requires more than simply believing Philadelphia is the better team.
Net Edge
Positive Edge: 9.2/10 | Devil Risk: 7.6/10 | Net Edge: +1.6
Risk manager / what changes the view
1.00u proposed. Confirm Washington's order, Sánchez's normal workload and the -125 price. Pass if the line worsens past approximately -135, Sánchez is scratched or workload-limited, or Philadelphia removes multiple top-five hitters. Do not replace it with Phillies ML near -217.
Pick 3 — Texas Rangers full-game moneyline
Posted odds: -131 DraftKings
Proposed units: 0.75u
Variance: High
Designation: PROPOSED — NOT OFFICIAL
Positive Edge
The same-source market made the slate's sharpest directional move: Boston opened around -126, but Texas is now -131. Jacob deGrom brings 186 strikeouts into a home matchup against Patrick Sandoval, who is 1–5 with a 4.58 ERA. The moneyline avoids asking a 74–76 Texas club to win by multiple runs.
Devil Risk
Boston is 82–68 and materially stronger by season record. DeGrom's 3.80 ERA is not vintage deGrom, and the line reversal may already reflect information that has been fully priced. Both lineups are still TBD, so following steam blindly would be poor process.
Net Edge
Positive Edge: 8.6/10 | Devil Risk: 7.8/10 | Net Edge: +0.8
Risk manager / what changes the view
0.75u proposed. This is the smallest team allocation. Final Positions must identify the lineup or availability information behind the move and confirm Texas at -135 or better. Pass if Boston's core order is intact without a corresponding Texas advantage, if deGrom's status changes, or if the price reaches -140.
PLAYER PROPS
Pick 4 — Yoshinobu Yamamoto Over 7.5 Pitcher Strikeouts
Posted odds: -110 Fanatics
Proposed units: 0.75u
Variance: Medium-high
Designation: PROPOSED — NOT OFFICIAL
Positive Edge
Yamamoto's confirmed opponent order and recent form support the threshold. His last five strikeout totals are 10, 8, 8, 9 and 9, and he struck out 10 Reds over seven innings on September 9. The available current-roster matchup sample shows a 38.9% Cincinnati strikeout rate across 72 plate appearances. Fanatics' -110 is the best captured current price.
Devil Risk
The line is above Yamamoto's 6.58 season average. Cincinnati saw him only six days ago and can adjust, while a repeat matchup can reduce surprise. One independent projection was closer to six strikeouts, so eight still requires both K density and sufficient batters faced.
Net Edge
Positive Edge: 9.0/10 | Devil Risk: 8.1/10 | Net Edge: +0.9
Risk manager / what changes the view
0.75u proposed. Both lineups are confirmed, but Final Positions must recheck the exact price and late scratches. Over 8.5 is a new wager and is not approved. Pass if 7.5 worsens past -120 or if a workload restriction appears.
Player-prop passes
Jacob Misiorowski Over 8.5 Ks +115: PASS
The earlier 7.5 market is gone. The current board is Over 8.5 +115, with an 8.74 season average and 8.0 last-10 average. Pittsburgh's confirmed lineup is strikeout-capable, but Misiorowski has reached nine in only five of his last 10 starts. The plus price is interesting; the threshold no longer clears the confidence requirement.
What changes the view: 7.5 reappears at a playable price, or independent projections and umpire data create stronger nine-strikeout support. An old 7.5 grade cannot be carried into 8.5.
Shane Baz Under 4.5 Ks: PASS
The current Mets batting order remains unconfirmed, and Baz's broader distribution is only five Unders in his last 10 at this threshold. The small opponent-history signal is insufficient without the actual lineup.
What changes the view: a confirmed low-strikeout Mets order and plus-money Under 4.5.
Broader pass and pricing-trap board
- Brewers ML -217 / prior open near -266: Misiorowski's dominance is real, but the favorite price remains expensive and Lake Bachar's 3.52 ERA does not create a clean enough team-side conversion.
- Dodgers ML -245 and -1.5 -143: Yamamoto's edge is better isolated through his strikeout prop; the Dodgers order notably does not include Shohei Ohtani.
- Rays ML -238: Jack Perkins' 6.53 ERA is attackable, but Athletics' lineup remains TBD and the favorite tax is extreme.
- Padres -1.5 -125 at Coors: San Diego has won eight straight and Colorado has lost eight straight, but the 11.5 total, Kyle Freeland's return and Denver weather create too much variance.
- Yankees -1.5 -105: viable team-market watch, but both lineups remain TBD and New York's playoff-clinching win Monday creates rest risk.
- White Sox–Guardians: automatic Pass until the Chicago starter discrepancy is resolved.

Final Positions checklist
Recheck every unconfirmed lineup, exact DraftKings/Fanatics prices, starter identity, late injury or rest news, bullpen availability, and weather. Seattle -1.5 to -2.5, Philadelphia -1.5 beyond -135, Texas ML beyond -140, or Yamamoto 7.5 to 8.5 are materially different wagers.
