LEDGER AUDIT
The connected ChetBets records were reconciled before this slate review. The recoverable 30-day subset is 1–2–0, 4.25u risked, -1.0417u, -24.51% ROI. The recoverable lifetime subset is 26–21–0, 67.50u risked, -0.1077u, -0.16% ROI, with one 1.50u Zack Wheeler ticket still pending and 44 dates unresolved. The latest seven-day row is 0–0 with 0.00u recorded. Same-book aggregate closing-line value remains unavailable.
The verified historical split supports only the September 5 card: team/game markets 1–1–0, 3.25u risked, -0.0417u (-1.28% ROI); player props 0–1–0, 1.00u risked, -1.0000u (-100% ROI). That three-position sample is too small to justify model changes. Missing cards, exact closes, odds, units, or outcomes are not inferred.
The applicable operating lessons remain: keep individual exposure modest, distinguish skill from price, avoid favorite tax, preserve thresholds exactly, and never convert a scouting lean into an official position. The new MLB construction policy governs this and future cards; it does not relabel historical selections.
SLATE, AVAILABILITY, WEATHER & SOURCE CONTROLS
MLB's probable-pitcher board lists 15 games. The most relevant matchups are Logan Gilbert–Ryan Johnson, Cristopher Sánchez–Jackson Kent, Patrick Sandoval–Jacob deGrom, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto–Rhett Lowder. MLB's lineup board has both Dodgers–Reds orders confirmed and Philadelphia confirmed; Washington, Seattle–Los Angeles, and Boston–Texas were still incomplete at this checkpoint.
White Sox–Guardians is excluded from all derivative work because MLB lists Chris Murphy while the live ESPN/DraftKings feed lists Davis Martin. A starter-identity conflict is an automatic Pass.
The largest outdoor volatility is at Wrigley Field and Coors Field. Globe Life Field's roof reduces weather risk for Boston–Texas. The actionable Seattle and Philadelphia full-game markets still require bullpen-availability and lineup rechecks; no weather interruption is counted as positive edge.
MARKET MOVEMENT
The same ESPN/DraftKings MLB odds board is used for opening/current comparisons:
| Market | Open / earlier | Current | Morning read |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seattle ML | -162 | -174 | Support toward Seattle; -1.5 remains preferable to ML tax |
| Philadelphia ML | -189 | -217 | Starter mismatch priced aggressively |
| Boston/Texas ML | Boston -126 | Texas -131 | Slate's sharpest directional reversal |
| Milwaukee ML | -266 | -217 | Still expensive despite move away |
| Dodgers ML | — | -245 | Heavy favorite tax; confirmed order omits Ohtani |
| Tampa Bay ML | — | -238 | Excessive price with Athletics order unresolved |
TEAM MARKETS
Team/game markets are researched and ranked first under the binding market-mix policy.
Team candidate 1 — Seattle Mariners -1.5 full-game run line, -101 DraftKings
Positive Edge: Logan Gilbert (12–9, 3.72 ERA, 187 Ks) has the clearer starter profile against Ryan Johnson (4–8, 5.12 ERA, 63 Ks). Seattle's ML strengthened from about -162 to -174 while the run line stayed near even money. As the road club, Seattle retains its ninth-inning plate appearance.
Devil Risk: Every one-run win loses the wager. Seattle is 70–81, both orders remain unconfirmed, and the full-game period includes bullpen execution.
Morning status: PRIORITY TEAM MARKET — RESEARCH ONLY. Recheck both orders, bullpen availability, and confirm -1.5 at -110 or better. A move to -2.5 is a new wager.
Team candidate 2 — Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 full-game run line, -125 DraftKings
Positive Edge: Cristopher Sánchez (17–5, 2.79 ERA, 210 Ks) faces Jackson Kent (1–4, 6.59 ERA). Philadelphia's confirmed top five includes Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, Luis Arraez and Alec Bohm. The run line isolates the mismatch without laying roughly -217 on the ML.
Devil Risk: Washington's order is TBD, the market already steamed Philadelphia, and a one-run Phillies win still loses.
Morning status: PRIORITY TEAM MARKET — RESEARCH ONLY. Recheck Washington's order and Sánchez workload; do not accept worse than about -135.
Team candidate 3 — Texas Rangers full-game moneyline, -131 DraftKings
Positive Edge: The same-source market flipped from Boston -126 to Texas -131. Jacob deGrom (186 Ks) is at home against Patrick Sandoval (1–5, 4.58 ERA). The ML avoids asking a sub-.500 Texas club to win by multiple runs.
Devil Risk: Boston is 82–68, both orders are TBD, deGrom's 3.80 ERA is not peak form, and market reversal alone is not a handicap.
Morning status: SECONDARY TEAM MARKET — RESEARCH ONLY. Identify the information behind the flip and require Texas -135 or better.
Team-market passes and traps
- Brewers ML -217 / -1.5 -124: Misiorowski is elite, but the price is heavy and Pittsburgh's Lake Bachar owns a 3.52 ERA.
- Dodgers ML -245 / -1.5 -143: too much tax, especially with Shohei Ohtani absent from the confirmed order.
- Rays ML -238: Jack Perkins is attackable, but Athletics' order remains unresolved.
- Padres -1.5 -125 at Colorado: San Diego has won eight straight and Colorado has lost eight straight, but the 11.5 total, Kyle Freeland's return, and Coors variance prevent a clean grade.
- Yankees -1.5 -105: interesting number, but both lineups are TBD after New York clinched a postseason berth.
PLAYER PROPS
Prop candidate 1 — Yoshinobu Yamamoto Over 7.5 pitcher strikeouts, -110 Fanatics
The live Yamamoto prop board showed the best captured price at Fanatics.
Positive Edge: Yamamoto's last five K totals are 10, 8, 8, 9 and 9. He struck out 10 Reds in seven innings on September 9, and the current-roster matchup sample shows 28 strikeouts in 72 plate appearances. Both orders are confirmed.
Devil Risk: The 7.5 line is above his 6.58 season average. Cincinnati saw him six days ago, and a repeat matchup can reduce surprise. Eight Ks still require both density and workload.
Morning status: PRIORITY PLAYER PROP — RESEARCH ONLY. Preserve 7.5 and require -120 or better. Over 8.5 is not a substitute.
Player-prop passes
- Jacob Misiorowski O8.5 +115: the earlier 7.5 is gone. The current prop board now requires nine; he reached nine in only five of his last 10. PASS at the harder threshold.
- Shane Baz U4.5: Mets order unresolved and only five recent Unders in 10 at the threshold. PASS pending lineup and plus price.
- Props tied to White Sox–Guardians are excluded until the starter conflict is resolved.
MARKET MIX
| Morning candidate pool | Count | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Team/game markets | 3 | 75% |
| Player props | 1 | 25% |
| Total | 4 | 100% |
The four-candidate board uses the prescribed 3 team markets + 1 prop allocation. No units are assigned because Morning Scout is research only. A fifth candidate is not forced: the second-best prop moved from 7.5 to 8.5, and the remaining team prices do not clear the risk gate.
NEXT CHECKPOINTS
Before Grade the Slate or Final Positions, recheck every unconfirmed batting order, exact DraftKings/Fanatics prices, confirmed starter identities, bullpen availability, late scratches/rest, and outdoor radar. Seattle -1.5 to -2.5, Philadelphia price worse than -135, Texas beyond -140, or Yamamoto 7.5 to 8.5 are materially different wagers.
Official wagers: NONE. Official exposure: 0.00u. AUTO_PICKS unchanged.
