The environment
Venue geometry, altitude, temperature, wind, humidity, playing surface and the conditions that can reshape how a game is actually played.
CHETBETSDATA · DRIVEN · DOMINANCEBecause the game gives you a scoreboard. Chet is built to show you the forces moving underneath it.
Before there was a betting engine, there was Jim and an AI agent helping with ordinary life: “How do you make birria tacos?” “What’s the weather like in Boulder?” Research, questions, answers—the useful stuff.
Eventually, Jim gave the agent a name: Chet.
Then a series of bets led to a bigger question. What if Chet could do more than retrieve information? What if it could learn the language of every sport, connect the details buried across a slate and turn hundreds of moving data points into something an everyday bettor could actually use?
After three months of learning, tinkering, testing and refining, ChetBets was born.
A box score tells you what happened. A betting line tells you what the market expects. The edge lives in the space between them—in context, relationships and small indicators that rarely arrive in one neat place.
Chet is designed to evaluate a wide field of potential indicators, then reduce the noise into the factors that matter most for a specific matchup. The exact models, weights, thresholds and decision logic remain proprietary. The reasoning that helps a bettor understand the position does not.

Lineups, injuries, usage, rest, travel, coaching tendencies, bullpen workload, player form and the officials who influence the edges of a market.
Handedness, pace, style, scheme, surface fit, serve-and-return profiles, tactical friction and the specific strengths that collide on that day.
Price, movement, implied probability and whether the available number still offers enough value after the evidence is weighed together.
Yankee Stadium’s short right-field wall can favor certain power profiles. Add warm air, helpful wind, the opposing pitcher’s handedness and home-run tendencies, bullpen fatigue, expected lineup strength and the price of the market—and the picture can change.
That combination might strengthen an over. It might support an Aaron Judge home-run position. Or the devil’s-advocate review might uncover enough opposing evidence to pass entirely.

Confirmation bias loves a good-looking trend. Chet is built to challenge one. Before a position makes the card, the engine tries to break its own thesis.
ChetBets is not built to flood you with picks. It is built to help you understand what deserves attention, what the evidence says, what could invalidate the thesis and how much conviction the final grade carries.
ChetBets explains the factors behind a position without publishing source code, model weights, feature thresholds, internal prompts or decision trees. You get the actionable intelligence—not the recipe.
