Three-game slate | Market snapshot about 5:00 a.m. PT | Official wagers: NONE | Exposure: 0.00u
THREE-PASS RESEARCH CHECK
Pass 1 — candidate search: the verified current-date schedule and available team, total and player markets were compared. Pass 2 — adversarial review: availability, weather, role uncertainty, price, favorite tax and correlated exposure were applied. Pass 3 — verification state: exact start times and any quoted prices below were checked again against the linked source. These are three reviews of the same evidence, not independent evidence. This Morning Scout creates no official wager, no units and no model-weight change.
The accessible Scout, Grade, Final, Nightly, rolling reports, canonical picks, recovery modules and individual-settlement file were reconciled. September 19's Mets ML official win remains locked; no prior publication is removed or changed.
COMPLETE CURRENT SLATE
Probable pitchers: MLB official September 21 board. Prices: CBS Sports MLB odds, approximately 5:00 a.m. PT.
| Event | Probable pitchers | Verified market | Scout decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto @ Baltimore, 3:35 p.m. PT | Trey Yesavage vs Shane Baz | TOR -104; BAL -112; total 7.5 | PASS. Near pick'em pricing, two competent strikeout arms and no confirmed orders leave no price-adjusted separation. |
| Washington @ Detroit, 3:40 p.m. PT | DJ Herz vs River Ryan | WAS +129; DET -149; total 8/8.5 | WATCH — Tigers full-game ML, not a lean. Detroit owns the cleaner price direction, but both listed starters show 0–0 current MLB records and require role/lineup confirmation. |
| Minnesota @ San Francisco, 6:45 p.m. PT | Zebby Matthews vs Blade Tidwell | MIN -118; SF +102; total 8/8.5 | WATCH — Twins full-game ML, not a lean. The modest road price is preferable to laying a run line, but Matthews' 4.74 ERA and Tidwell's short 2026 sample block early approval. |
TEAM MARKETS
1. Detroit ML -149 — WATCH. Positive Edge: home favorite against a Washington starter without a 2026 MLB decision. Devil Risk: River Ryan is also a low-information starter, so this can be more expensive than the evidence supports. Review only if the starter roles and full orders are confirmed and the price is -150 or better.
2. Minnesota ML -118 — WATCH. Positive Edge: a near pick'em price avoids favorite tax. Devil Risk: Minnesota is asking an inconsistent Matthews to win on the road. Review only at -120 or better after lineups.
3. Toronto–Baltimore — PASS. What changes the view: a lineup-driven move through plus money or a verified starter-prop mismatch; neither exists now.
PLAYER PROPS
Shane Baz strikeouts — unpriced watch. Baz has 152 strikeouts on the official probable-pitcher board, but no executable threshold and price were verified. Do not infer a wager from the season total. All other props pass until a sportsbook-specific threshold, price and confirmed batting order exist.
MARKET MIX
Research pool: two team/game checkpoints and one player-prop checkpoint (67% / 33%). None is a published lean or official position. Grade must recheck lineups, weather, bullpen use and exact markets; a new threshold is a new wager.
1:05 P.M. PT MARKET / LEDGER UPDATE — APPEND ONLY
This timestamped update does not alter the original 5:00 a.m. snapshot, Watch/PASS classifications, thresholds or publication time. CBS Sports now shows Toronto and Baltimore both -108; Detroit -133 at DraftKings; Minnesota -121 at DraftKings; and San Francisco +108 at FanDuel. MLB's official lineup page now lists both batting orders for Toronto–Baltimore and Washington–Detroit, while Minnesota–San Francisco remains TBD.
- Washington–Detroit: the original -150-or-better Scout price checkpoint was reached at -133 and the lineups later posted. The separately published Grade evaluated that exact improvement and still passed because price movement did not establish a measured edge; Final Positions preserved the full pass. No retrospective promotion is permitted.
- Minnesota–San Francisco: Minnesota's -121 is one cent beyond the Scout maximum of -120 and the lineups remain unconfirmed. The later Grade/Final pass remains controlling.
- Toronto–Baltimore: confirmed orders and a -108/-108 market still produce no price-adjusted separation. PASS remains unchanged.
- Player props: no executable Shane Baz strikeout threshold and price was verified, so the prop watch remains unpriced and unpromoted.
Update decision: no new lean, no official wager and no change to the canonical Final card.
No official wager. No AUTO_PICKS change. No model change.
